Junior Database Administrator in Las Vegas, USA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Las Vegas. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our database systems. You will also assist in troubleshooting and resolving any database-related issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in the field of database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery procedures
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Create and maintain documentation on database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with other systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python or Perl
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
