Entry-Level Mechanic Technician - Mombasa, Kenya


We are a leading automotive company in Mombasa, Kenya, seeking an Entry-Level Mechanic Technician to join our team. As an entry-level mechanic, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills while working alongside experienced mechanics. This is a contract position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
- Inspect and test vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and make necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of all work performed on vehicles

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a technical or vocational school in automotive technology
- Previous experience working as an apprentice or helper in an automotive repair shop
- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic equipment and software
