Executive Chef
We are a renowned restaurant in the beautiful city of Bergen, seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team. As the head chef, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff training.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative menus that reflect our culinary style and cater to our diverse clientele
- Plan and execute daily food preparation in accordance with high-quality standards
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee inventory management to ensure efficient use of ingredients and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Proficient in menu planning, food cost analysis, and inventory management
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- High level of creativity and passion for creating new dishes
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian is desirable but not required
We offer competitive salary ($1000 per month) along with accommodation. Our company also provides visa sponsorship for international candidates.
