Network and Systems Administrator (Alta, Norway)



We are hiring a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our company's computer networks and systems. Your main goal is to ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure to support our users and business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks
- Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
- Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement new network solutions
- Identify areas for improvement in network performance and implement necessary changes
- Maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure
- Train end-users on how to use the network effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP), hardware (e.g. routers), and software (e.g. DNS)
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Working knowledge of firewall technologies (e.g. Cisco ASA) is preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical issues quickly
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.

This position is based in Alta, Norway.
