Sous Chef
A high-end restaurant in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating unique and innovative dishes. This position offers a competitive salary of $1600 per week and the opportunity to work in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items and maintain high-quality standards
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Assist with scheduling and managing staff shifts
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train others
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
