English Tutor in Porto, Portugal
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced English Tutor to join our team in Porto, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in the English language. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1700$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Create tailored lesson plans for students based on their individual needs and goals
- Teach students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners
- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to engage students and make learning fun and effective
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any areas that may need improvement
- Stay up-to-date with current teaching methods, materials, and resources
Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in English
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an English tutor or teacher
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques for different levels and ages
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching English as a second language (ESL)
- Familiarity with the Portuguese language is a plus
- Experience working with international students or individuals from diverse backgrounds
