Seasonal Truck Driver in Svalbard

We are hiring a seasonal truck driver to join our team in Svalbard, Norway. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods from one location to another. This is a physically demanding job that requires experience in driving large trucks and operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:
- Drive trucks with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials and equipment to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Secure cargo for transport using straps, ropes, or covers as needed
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance in logbooks
- Communicate with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a truck driver, preferably in a seasonal or remote location setting
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and navigate through various terrains
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Salary:
As a seasonal employee, you will receive a competitive salary of $1700 per month. Accommodation may also be provided during your employment.
