Executive Chef at High-End Restaurant in Oslo
We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at our high-end restaurant in Oslo. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food and service. You must have previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining or high-end restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that showcase creativity and quality ingredients
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality
- Manage inventory and purchasing of ingredients to ensure freshness and cost-effectiveness
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop promotions or special events to attract customers
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining or high-end restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also managing costs
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
