Data Mining Analyst

As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing large amounts of data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decisions. You will work closely with the data analytics team to design and implement data mining processes, as well as collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights. This role requires advanced knowledge of data mining techniques and tools, as well as strong analytical skills. A successful candidate should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant data sources and extract large datasets using SQL or other programming languages
- Clean, validate, and transform raw data to prepare it for analysis
- Apply various statistical techniques and algorithms to identify patterns and trends in the data
- Collaborate with the data analytics team to develop predictive models based on historical data
- Communicate findings through visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Work with other departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights
- Continuously monitor the accuracy of data mining processes and make necessary adjustments
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of data mining

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Mining Analyst or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of SQL or other programming languages (Python, R)
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (SAS, SPSS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze large datasets
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear manner
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) is preferred
