A leading technology firm in Lisbon is seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation, security, and reliability. This role offers a competitive salary of 1400$, along with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
- Configure and maintain virtualized servers using VMware or Hyper-V
- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats
- Conduct regular backups of important data to ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot network and system issues and provide timely resolutions
- Install and configure software applications on servers and workstations as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and implement IT projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE) are a plus
- Proven experience in network administration, including LAN/WAN management, routing protocols (e.g., BGP), VLANs, VPNs, etc.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) and knowledge of cloud computing concepts (AWS or Azure)
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices for networks/systems
- Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam or Acronis
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Biometric passport is a plus
