We are seeking a motivated and innovative Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models to solve complex business problems. This is a contract job with the potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop machine learning models and algorithms to analyze large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for applying machine learning techniques
- Design experiments, collect data, and evaluate model performance
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and tools

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques and feature engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques
- Prior experience working on projects involving computer vision or deep learning is a plus
