Junior Merchandiser
As a Junior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for supporting the merchandising team in the day-to-day operations and activities of the company. Your main duties will include assisting with product sourcing, analyzing market trends, maintaining inventory levels, and executing buying plans. You will also be required to communicate with suppliers and maintain strong relationships with them to ensure timely delivery of products. Responsibilities:
- Support the merchandising team in daily tasks and activities
- Assist with product sourcing and maintaining inventory levels
- Analyze market trends and provide insights to the team
- Help execute buying plans and monitor sales performance
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms
- Monitor stock levels and make recommendations for replenishment or discontinuation of products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and sales, to develop effective strategies for product positioning
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities or risks

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Passion for the retail industry and eagerness to learn about merchandising

Location: This is a contract job located in Alta, Norway. However, remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Salary: The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
