Fitter - Contract Position (Greenland)


We are currently seeking a skilled Fitter for a contract position in Greenland. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and installing mechanical components and systems according to specifications, as well as performing maintenance and repair work on existing equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
- Assemble mechanical components and systems based on specifications
- Install, align, and adjust machinery and equipment
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, tools, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience working in remote locations preferred

Salary:
$1700 per month

Location:
Greenland (preference for local candidates)

Duration:
Contract position with potential for extension based on performance.
