Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Svalbard, Norway


We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Svalbard, Norway. As a DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. You will also be involved in the planning, design, and development of new databases as well as maintaining and upgrading existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot issues related to databases, including performance tuning and data migration
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and backup procedures
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions for new applications
- Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations
- Develop documentation, including policies and procedures for database management
- Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements in database technology to make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), SQL, and data manipulation languages
- Experience with database design and implementation
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1600 per month without accommodation. Own visa jobs are available for all nationalities.
