Entry Level Database Administrator



As an Entry Level Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our company's databases. This includes creating and updating databases, performing data backups and restores, and monitoring database performance. You will also troubleshoot any issues that may arise and work closely with our IT team to ensure data integrity and security. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain databases according to company needs
- Perform regular backups of databases and ensure data integrity
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Work closely with our IT team to implement database changes or updates
- Perform data migrations as needed
- Keep up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends
- Assist with user access management and security protocols
- Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for future reference

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of SQL language and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with database administration tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager)
- Knowledge of backup/recovery processes, performance tuning, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python) is a plus

Salary: 1500$ per month

Location: Faroe Islands (own visa required)
