Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in St. Petersburg. Your main duties will include conducting research on the history and architecture of buildings, assessing their current condition, and developing plans for restoration and preservation. You will also work closely with construction teams to oversee the implementation of restoration projects, ensuring that all work is carried out according to historical preservation standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with local authorities and community organizations to secure necessary permits and funding for preservation projects.
To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of historical architecture and preservation techniques. You should also possess strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with team members, clients, and community members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Prior experience in historic preservation or restoration
- Knowledge of local historic preservation regulations
- Strong research skills
- Excellent project management abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Russian is a plus)
