Mason: Brick and Stone Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team in La-Condamine. As a Brick and Stone Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other similar materials. Your main duties will include mixing mortar, laying bricks or stones according to the design plans, and ensuring that the structures are stable and durable.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in masonry work, with a strong focus on bricklaying. You must also possess knowledge of different types of bricks and stones, as well as the ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans. Additionally, physical stamina and good hand-eye coordination are essential for this job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mix mortar according to specifications
- Lay bricks or stones in a neat and sturdy manner
- Use tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and hammers to shape or cut bricks/stones
- Cut openings in walls for windows/doors using hand or power tools
- Apply weatherproofing on structures as needed
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks/stones
- Follow safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in masonry work
- Proficiency in bricklaying techniques
- Knowledge of different types of bricks/stones and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Physical stamina and good hand-eye coordination
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1800 per month.
