Indian Restaurant Manager in Malindi, Kenya

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Indian Restaurant Manager to oversee our restaurant operations in Malindi, Kenya. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality standards. This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$ and does not require English proficiency. However, having a biometric passport is a must.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, inventory management, and ensuring quality service
- Train and mentor staff to maintain high-quality standards and provide exceptional customer service
- Create weekly schedules for staff based on business needs and budget constraints
- Manage restaurant budget and expenses to ensure profitability
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the restaurant at all times
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items or specials based on customer feedback and market trends
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
- Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones through effective marketing initiatives

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager in an Indian restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English not required)
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and culinary techniques is essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid biometric passport
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed
