Glazier Technician



The Glazier Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various residential and commercial settings. This position requires a high level of skill and experience in the glazing trade. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions
- Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other structures
- Repair or replace damaged glass
- Remove old or broken glass and clean up work areas
- Use tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and caulking guns to complete jobs
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Keep track of inventory and place orders for necessary materials

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Glazier in a residential or commercial setting
- Strong understanding of different types of glass and their uses
- Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools used in the glazing trade
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently without supervision
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders or scaffolding if necessary
- Strong communication skills with clients and team members
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods of time

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1600 per month. Salary will be reviewed after 6 months based on performance.

Location:
This position is located in Funchal, Portugal. Preference will be given to candidates who are already living in Funchal or nearby areas.

Contract job:
This is a contract job with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance.

Experience required:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Glazier in a residential or commercial setting is required.
