Librarian - Contract Position in Odense, Denmark



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team on a contract basis in Odense, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and overseeing daily operations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of library operations, including circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, and collection development
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries using print and electronic resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with faculty members to support their teaching and research needs
- Create engaging displays and programs to promote library resources and services
- Supervise part-time staff members and student workers
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in using library management systems and databases
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Salary:
This is a contract position paying 1500$ per month. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Location:
This position is located in Odense, Denmark. Applicants must have their own visa or be eligible to work in Denmark.

Experience:
No previous experience is required for this position. However, candidates with prior experience working in a library or similar setting will be given preference.
