Preservation Architect - Shan, India
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Shan, India. Your main role will involve identifying and assessing the condition of these structures, developing plans for restoration and conservation, and overseeing the implementation of these plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and develop appropriate preservation plans.
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and construction teams to develop restoration plans that adhere to historical preservation standards.
- Overseeing the implementation of restoration plans, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with preservation guidelines.
- Managing budgets and timelines for restoration projects.
- Conducting research on historical structures to inform preservation efforts.
- Providing guidance and training to junior architects on historical preservation techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historical preservation.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as an Architect with a specialization in preservation.
- Knowledge of local and national regulations related to historic preservation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including engineers, designers, contractors, and government officials.
- Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough assessments of historical structures.
This is a full-time position based in Shan city. The salary for this role starts at $1700 per month.
