Interpreter - Bilingual (English-French)
We are looking for a highly skilled and professional Interpreter to join our team in Atlanta. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English and French speakers in a variety of settings, including business meetings, conferences, and social events.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between English and French speakers by interpreting spoken language accurately and fluently
- Translate written documents from English to French and vice versa
- Interpret conversations, speeches, and presentations in real-time
- Provide cultural context and explanations to ensure effective communication
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Use specialized terminology for different industries such as business, legal, medical, or technical
- Attend meetings and events with clients to provide interpretation services
- Research specialized vocabulary to prepare for upcoming assignments
Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and French languages (written and spoken)
- Proven experience as an Interpreter or similar role
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret accurately and quickly
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology for various fields such as business, legal, medical, or technical
- Ability to remain impartial and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Strong research skills to prepare for assignments
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
- Bachelor's degree in Translation or related field preferred
Salary: $1000 per month
Location: Atlanta (open to candidates from any nationality)
