Junior Machine Learning Engineer


We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Funchal. As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers to develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for artificial intelligence and data science to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve existing models and develop new ones
- Analyze large datasets and perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and tools
- Communicate findings and results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R or Java
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

While we do not require prior work experience for this role, candidates with relevant internships or projects will be given preference. We also welcome candidates of all genders and nationalities.
