Heavy Equipment Operator
We are hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Alta, Canada. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to move materials and complete construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Inspect equipment before each use to ensure proper functioning.
- Use hand signals or radios to communicate with other team members on the job site.
- Follow project plans and blueprints to complete tasks accurately.
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or conveyors using heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Complete daily logs, reports, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Monitor fuel levels and refill as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related fields.
- Ability to read project plans and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations for operating heavy machinery.
- Physical ability to sit for long periods of time, climb stairs/ladders, bend, crouch, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per week for this full-time position.
Location:
This role is based in Alta, Canada. While Canadian citizenship is preferred, we welcome applicants with valid biometric passports from any country who have the necessary work permits/visas.
