Entry-Level Cashier

We are hiring an Entry-Level Cashier to join our team at our retail store located in La-Condamine! As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, as well as basic math skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the retail industry and start their career as a Cashier. No prior experience is required as we provide on-the-job training. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $900 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of any shortages or overages
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:
- Previous retail or cashier experience is an asset but not required
- Knowledge of different payment methods (cash, credit cards, etc.)
- Bilingual in English/French or English/Italian is preferred but not required
