Junior Network and Systems Administrator

A fast-growing technology company in Greenland is seeking a Junior Network and Systems Administrator to join our team. As a member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of our network and systems infrastructure. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to grow in their career.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity problems
- Perform routine maintenance on servers, routers, switches, and other network equipment
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new equipment or software
- Manage user accounts and permissions on various systems
- Ensure data backups are completed regularly and accurately
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in networking technology
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement within the network infrastructure

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience or coursework in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/Server)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Salary: $1800 per month

Location: Nuuk, Greenland
