Executive Chef - Aarhus, Denmark
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant in Aarhus, Denmark. You will be in charge of creating and executing innovative menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Your leadership skills and passion for food will inspire and motivate our kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and seasonal menus that cater to a variety of dietary preferences
- Manage inventory and budget to ensure cost-effective purchasing of ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events and catering services
- Maintain a positive working relationship with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety regulations
- Ability to lead a team effectively and maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to work with various departments within the restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 900$ per week. You will work approximately 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. The restaurant is located in the vibrant city center of Aarhus.
