Part-Time Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Odense, Denmark. As a preservation architect, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects related to the conservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural history, materials, and techniques, as well as an eye for detail and a passion for preserving cultural heritage.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historic buildings and structures
- Developing preservation plans and proposals for conservation and restoration projects
- Collaborating with construction teams and contractors to ensure the proper execution of preservation plans
- Conducting research on historical architecture, materials, and techniques
- Preparing reports, drawings, and other documentation related to preservation projects
- Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations related to historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Experience working on conservation projects preferred
- Must have valid work permit for Denmark if not a Danish national
Salary: USD 1500/month (based on part-time hours)
