Interpreter (Faroe Islands)


We are hiring a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Faroe Islands. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between speakers of different languages in a variety of settings. This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient interpretation services in person, over the phone, or through video conferencing
- Translate written documents from one language to another, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties to ensure understanding and avoid misunderstandings
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting
- Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology and developments

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language (preferably Faroese)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and think quickly on your feet
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Biometric passport for international travel (if not already based in Faroe Islands)
- Prior experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required
