Head Chef
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Esbjerg, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations. Your creativity, leadership skills and knowledge of various cuisines will be essential in creating and executing a menu that satisfies our customers' tastes and preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menu items based on seasonal ingredients, customer feedback, and food trends
- Train, supervise and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and service
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan special events or promotions
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to review performance and provide feedback
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with other departments within the restaurant
- Knowledge of food cost control methods and experience managing budgets
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field preferred but not required
- Valid food handling certificate is mandatory
- Prior experience working in high-volume restaurants
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
