Head Chef
As the Head Chef at our renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently served to our guests. We are seeking a skilled and creative individual with extensive culinary experience to lead our team of talented chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative menu items that will delight our guests
- Manage inventory and food costs to ensure profitability
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and caterings
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into our menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and creativity in menu planning
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Food safety certification required
- Fluency in English (Danish language proficiency is a plus)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
