Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our pastry menu, managing a team of pastry chefs, and ensuring high quality and consistent desserts for our customers. Your creativity, attention to detail, and leadership skills will be crucial in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update our pastry menu to reflect seasonal ingredients and latest trends
- Oversee the production of all pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Train and mentor a team of pastry chefs on techniques, recipes, and plating presentations
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and equipment needed for pastry production
- Ensure that all pastries are prepared with attention to detail and meet quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions featuring pastries
- Monitor food costs and assist with budgeting for the pastry department
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the pastry kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role (at least 5 years)
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of all pastries
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred
We are looking for a Pastry Chef who is passionate about creating delicious desserts that will leave our customers wanting more. Please note that while Danish nationality is preferred, candidates from other European countries with relevant experience will also be considered.
