Typesetter (Contract) - Oslo, Norway



We are hiring a skilled Typesetter to join our team on a contract basis in Oslo, Norway. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images to create visually appealing documents such as books, magazines, and advertisements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use computer software to format and arrange text and images according to design specifications
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and clients to ensure layout meets their requirements
- Proofread documents for accuracy in spelling, grammar, and layout
- Adjust font sizes, styles, and spacing as needed to ensure consistency throughout the document
- Create templates for future use or for multiple versions of the same document
- Troubleshoot any technical issues related to typesetting software or equipment
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new software releases to continuously improve skills

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficient in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Knowledge of typography principles and design aesthetics
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members from various departments

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month. Payment will be made at the end of each month.

Location:
The job is located in Oslo, Norway. Please note that accommodation will not be provided.
