Typesetter in Los Angeles

As a Typesetter in Los Angeles, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and images for print or digital publications. Your main goal will be to ensure that the text is visually appealing, easy to read, and free of any errors or inconsistencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Using specialized software to arrange text and images according to specific design guidelines
- Checking for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
- Collaborating with editors, writers, and designers to ensure the layout meets their expectations
- Making necessary adjustments based on feedback from clients or colleagues
- Ensuring that all fonts, sizes, and styles are consistent throughout the document
- Preparing files for print or digital publication
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new software developments

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of typography and typesetting principles
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other typesetting software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Time-management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Experience working with biometric passport documents is a plus

Salary:
This is a contract position paying $1100 per month.

Location:
This job is located in Los Angeles. However, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Note: This job does not require fluency in English. However, basic knowledge of the language is preferred.
