We are currently seeking an experienced Typesetter to join our publishing team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of typography and layout design. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and organizing text and images to create visually appealing and readable documents. You will work closely with editors, designers, and printers to ensure accurate and high-quality final products. This is a contract position with the possibility of long-term employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text using industry-standard software
- Ensure consistency in font, spacing, and alignment
- Collaborate with editors to ensure accuracy of content
- Communicate with designers to create visually appealing layouts
- Work with printers to ensure proper printing settings are used
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during typesetting process

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and printing processes
- Proficient in industry-standard typesetting software (such as Adobe InDesign)
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexible schedule, as occasional weekend or evening work may be required

Salary: $1600/month (with potential for performance-based bonuses)
