Commercial Architect

As a Commercial Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of commercial buildings and structures in Svalbard. Your main goal will be to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs of clients while adhering to building codes and regulations. You will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop designs that align with their vision and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to discuss their design preferences, budget, and timeline
- Create detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for commercial buildings
- Develop 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Work with engineers to ensure structural integrity of designs
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Collaborate with contractors during construction phase to ensure project remains on track
- Make any necessary adjustments or modifications to designs based on client feedback

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in commercial architecture
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations in Svalbard
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others

Salary: 900$ per month (part-time)

Location: Svalbard (own visa required)
