Contract Carpenter in Lisbon, Portugal

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Lisbon on a contract basis. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, such as building frameworks, partitions, doors, and cabinets. This is a great opportunity for freshers or recent graduates looking to gain experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine the materials required and layout of work
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils, chalk, and marking gauges
- Cut or shape materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines or power saws
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings or hardware
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Follow established safety rules and regulations while working on site

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques and equipment
- Good understanding of basic math skills including geometry
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials as needed
- Attention to detail with good manual dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Visa sponsorship available for non-EU citizens

Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Lisbon (no accommodation provided)
