Junior Computer Systems Analyst
As a Junior Computer Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating computer systems and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity. This role will require you to work closely with clients, understand their business needs, and recommend solutions to enhance their technological capabilities. You will also be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure smooth functioning of computer systems. This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or students looking for hands-on experience in the field of computer systems analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing computer systems and identify areas for improvement
- Work with clients to understand their business needs and requirements
- Recommend solutions to enhance the efficiency and productivity of computer systems
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
- Develop user manuals, training materials, and conduct training sessions for system users
- Conduct tests and implement changes or upgrades to computer systems as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in computer systems analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as developers, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful implementation of system changes or upgrades
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical data
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. SQL)
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Faroe Islands (remote work may be considered)
