Interpreter - Danish/English - Aarhus, Denmark
We are hiring a skilled and professional Interpreter for our language services team in Aarhus, Denmark. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between Danish and English speakers in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality interpretation services between Danish and English speakers
- Accurately convey the meaning and tone of the original message while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality
- Translate written materials as needed
- Prepare for interpreting assignments by familiarizing yourself with the topic and terminology beforehand
- Adhere to professional standards and code of ethics at all times
Requirements:
- Fluency in both Danish and English languages
- Proven experience as an Interpreter or similar role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively
- Excellent listening skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Flexibility to work on an on-call basis or at short notice
- Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation/Interpretation or related field
- Certification from a recognized interpreting association (e.g. AIIC, ATA)
- Experience working as an interpreter in a business or corporate setting
