Database Administrator – Sheduva, Lithuania



As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, security, and overall performance of our company's databases. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure that all databases are properly configured and optimized for maximum efficiency. Your key duties will include database design, data backup and recovery, user access management, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of database management systems. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases to meet the company's needs
- Ensure database security by setting and maintaining user access controls
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may affect its efficiency
- Conduct regular backups to ensure data integrity
- Develop data models for new projects or applications
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure smooth integration between different systems
- Provide technical support to end users and assist with any data-related inquiries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with database design, data backup and recovery
- Familiarity with data modeling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience working with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python

Salary: 900$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Sheduva, Lithuania
