Experienced Mason in Lisbon, Portugal


We are in need of an experienced Mason to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Mason, you will be responsible for laying and repairing brick, stone, concrete blocks and other materials to construct or repair walls, patios, fireplaces and other structures according to blueprints or instructions. Your main duties will include measuring and cutting materials, mixing mortar and grout, and ensuring that the finished product is level and structurally sound.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Mason
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Must have own visa for working in Portugal

Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build walls, chimneys or other structures according to blueprints or instructions
- Cut or saw bricks or other masonry units using hand tools or power tools
- Measure distances from reference points for layout lines using plumb bobs, levels, or other measuring equipment
- Mix mortar or grout according to standard formulas
- Apply mortar between joints of bricks using trowels
- Repair cracks or gaps in existing structures using caulking guns or cement mortar.
- Clean excess mortar from finished work surfaces.
- Read blueprints or diagrams in order to determine dimensions of structure.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. You will be working outdoors on construction sites where you may be exposed to various weather conditions. The job may also involve working at heights so good balance is essential.

Salary:
Your salary will be 1400$ per month based on your experience level.
