Network and Systems Administrator
Location: Oslo, Norway
Salary: $1600 per month


As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of network infrastructure while also providing technical support to end-users. You will work closely with the IT team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain hardware and software components of computer systems
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth functioning
- Troubleshoot network problems and outages
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email, antivirus, and spam protection
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network related issues
- Identify and recommend potential upgrades or improvements to network systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of all network configurations and procedures

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols)
- Experience with servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), firewalls (Cisco/Fortinet), switches (Cisco/HP), backup solutions (Veeam/Backup Exec)
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy management, DNS, DHCP
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certifications such as CCNA or MCSA/MCSE are considered an asset
