Executive Chef
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, creating and updating menus, and managing a team of kitchen staff. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills. This is a full-time position located in Hawalli, Kuwait.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and vision
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation
- Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with management to create cost-effective recipes while maintaining quality
- Conduct regular taste tests to ensure food quality and consistency
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portioning to maintain high standards
- Manage kitchen budget and control costs through efficient use of ingredients
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine preferred but not required
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dishes that align with restaurant's concept
- Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively manage time and resources
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of kitchen staff
Location: Hawalli, Kuwait (Preferably Pakistani)
Salary: 1400$ per month (Negotiable based on experience)
