Construction Manager
As a Construction Manager in Svalbard, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. This includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, and supervising the construction team. You must have a strong background in construction, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Create project schedules and ensure that all deadlines are met
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure profitability
- Hire and manage construction staff and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues
- Resolve any conflicts or challenges that arise during the construction process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements
