Pastry Chef at The Sweet Spot in Kolding, Denmark
The Sweet Spot, a renowned bakery and café in Kolding, Denmark, is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries, cakes, and desserts that not only taste amazing but also look visually appealing.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to our menu and customer requests.
- Develop new recipes while keeping up with current food trends.
- Ensure all pastries are made with the highest quality ingredients and presented beautifully.
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry supplies and place orders as needed.
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in various techniques and recipes.
- Collaborate with the head chef to create seasonal menus that feature delicious pastries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station according to food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume bakery or restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques such as fondant work, chocolate tempering, etc.
- A creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes while adhering to brand standards.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of pastries for customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while working in the kitchen.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.
