Librarian Assistant


We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in Monte-Carlo. Our library is seeking a candidate who is passionate about books and has excellent organizational and customer service skills. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the head librarian in managing daily operations, maintaining the library collection, and providing assistance to library patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the head librarian with cataloging, shelving, and organizing library materials
- Monitor and maintain the library's collection by performing routine inventory checks and ordering new materials as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with reference inquiries, locating materials, and using library equipment
- Process new library memberships and handle membership renewals
- Help plan and implement library programs and events
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service setting is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French (or other languages)
- Knowledge of different reference resources such as databases, e-books, etc.
- Familiarity with automated circulation systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this contract position. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. Additionally, we will cover the cost of your visa application and provide a round-trip ticket to Monte-Carlo.
