Preservation Architect


A reputable architecture firm in Aarhus is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic structures while ensuring they meet modern building codes and standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure the preservation of architectural integrity and cultural significance.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic structures to determine necessary repairs and restoration work.
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and goals for the project.
- Work with contractors to oversee construction work and ensure it aligns with preservation plans.
- Coordinate with government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Research historical documents, materials, and techniques to inform restoration work.
- Monitor project progress and budget to ensure timely completion within allocated resources.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or related field.
- Strong knowledge of historic building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural software.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and government agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Historic Architect (CHA) or similar designation.
- Experience working on projects involving listed buildings or national monuments.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in historic preservation.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 1300$ per month for this position. Salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
