Mason Supervisor
As a Mason Supervisor, you will oversee and manage a team of masons in constructing and repairing buildings, walls, and other structures. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of masons
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan construction processes
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed on job sites
- Train new masons on techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on job sites
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in masonry preferred
- Proven experience as a mason with strong technical skills
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and contractors
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.
Location:
This position is located in Mombasa, Kenya. Preference will be given to applicants who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required depending on project deadlines.
Passport Requirements:
A valid biometric passport is required for international travel for this position.
