Junior Back-End Developer


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Back-End Developer to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Junior Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the back-end of our company's software applications. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates without prior experience.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the front-end development team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Develop and maintain server-side components of web applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new features and improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in back-end development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Proven experience with at least one back-end programming language (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Experience working with version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
