Locksmith Technician

The Locksmith Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of locks and security systems. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. This position is suitable for men who have an interest in the locksmith profession. The salary for this contract job is 1600$ per month. Experience is not required, but candidates with previous locksmith experience will be given preference. This job is located in Faro, Portugal.

Responsibilities:
- Install and repair locks on doors, windows, safes, vehicles, and other items
- Create new keys or duplicate existing ones
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with locks and security systems
- Cut keys by hand or using key-cutting machines
- Repair or replace damaged locks
- Perform maintenance checks on locks and security systems
- Assist customers in choosing the right type of lock or security system for their needs
- Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Technical training or certification in locksmithing preferred but not required
- Familiarity with different types of locks and security systems
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in key cutting and lock installation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physically fit to lift heavy equipment when necessary
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Must be fluent in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
